Year Ender

Like all things, this academic year has come to a close. We wouldn't let it end without a party won't we? To enjoy each other's company before saying the final goodbyes and to formally close the year that was, the House Council organized the Year Ender activity.

Of course, Balay Lampirong dormers will never have an activity without food. Dinner was served in a box, somewhat bento style. (I wonder if we shall see those plastic boxes again next year.) The rice and chicken was accompanied by a serving of veggie salad.

I must say the veggie salad (is it really veggie salad?) was delicious but the icy dessert of gulaman with buko strips in milk was also very yummy.

The graduating upperclassmen who have been persistently asked to treat the entire dorm settled for a barrel of 'dirty' mango ice cream. I suppose everybody got all the ice cream they could possibly want.

Yes, all the ice cream they want, even if it won't fit in their cups anymore.

And so the story goes, everyone had fun eating dinner while chatting with friends and grinning towards the camera.

The Ube Jammers appeared to have had fun the most they just had to let it out.

After dinner, the dorm proceeded to the lobby to watch some "Pasalamat" Videos prepared by the House Council. Since Sir Glenn's multimedia projector got busted just a few days ago and Noel's laptop wouldn't cooperate with the TV, three laptops were stationed around the lobby to cater to the entire Hall 1 population. You can watch the videos here.

Then the horde of Hall 1 residents returned to the inner court for the program 'proper'. All the residents were awarded certificates of residency to certify that they were indeed part of great and noble history Castillo del Placuna Placenta.

Then the president of the Castillo delivered his three (?) page speech. You can click on the picture below to take a peek at his kodigo (amazing!).

Then the dormers were summoned to raise their right hand to take the oath of... what oath was that? It had something to do with carrying on the flame of beiong a Hall 1 dormer and living by its ideals and stuff....
Group hug!
