LAMPIRONG DAYS 2007- Open House!
The first of the Lampirong Days features the Open House. The events started with the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Main Lobby. All Balay Lampirong residents proudly wore their new shirt which debuts this day.
This year's Open House is themed "HOT!" Each room underwent major and minor renovations to project their unique interpretations of "HOT!" Some rooms decorated their ceilings with hot, hot images.
Some rooms converted the dormitory to a sensual hotel.
Some rooms simply let their rooms bathe in red lights.
Some rooms showcased an engagement dinner setting.
It was a long day. The next days will be even longer with the Bachelors' Night on Wednseday and Persona non Grata on Thursday. The winners of this open house competition will be announced on during Persona non Grata. Who is this year's best room?
WINNERS UPDATE
1st Place: Room 3 (Valentine's Dinner)
2nd Place: Room 29 (Hotel)
3rd Place: Room 22 (Ceiling Collage)

Lampirong Days Everywhere!
Balay Lampirong's grandest event of the year is truly making its presence felt. Stroll around UPV and surely you can't miss one of these "Life's a Beach" posters. Each one is intricately colored and 'accesorized'. No two posters are the same.
In the busiest corner of the campus, there hangs this proud streamer proclaiming THE event to the whole university.
And finally, through its largest ad, the local paper brings the news to everyone in Miagao. Indeed, there is no escaping Lampirong Days. Just a couple of days to go! Be there when it happens!

Pilgrimage to Balay Lampirong
Who is Rez looking at?! Could it be?! Yes, the legendary ancient has once again walked the corridors of Balay Lampirong.
I had the privilege to interview Mr. Gernimo Balsamo just a while ago. Of course, one has to be careful to always keep their head lower than these ancients. One must also never stare directly into their eyes or you will die instantly. Here is our interview:
Rex: What is the reason for your return to Balay Lampirong?
Ancient: The main reason in that I'm fixing my thesis and also I am processing all the papers I need to process including my clearance.
Rex: How long do you intend to stay here in UP?
Ancient: I have my schedule already and I'm set to be back in Manila on Thursday.
Rex: So how do you find Balay Lampirong since you were last here.
Ancient: It was wasted. Joke! Well, the dorm is still the best dorm, however, the environment in UP is not the same.Rex: What is the reason for your return to Balay Lampirong?

Rex: In what way is it different?
Ancient: Well, it's kind of boring... well, I like it because it's peaceful. Manilais so busy and so... bu it's more peaceful here.
Rex: Do you have any message to the Hall 1 dormers?
Ancient: Well, enjoy your life. If you go out of this university, make sure that you don't bring all your memories because you will miss the dorm more than you miss your home.
